NOW HIRING for Summer 2026: Bottle Shop & Tasting Room Server / Sales Associate

We are looking for seasonal, part-time sales associates and servers to help manage retail operations and lead spirits tasting experiences at our on-site distillery tasting bar and bottle shop. We are focused on increasing the team during our busy summer season from May to mid-July. We hope to find candidates that will grow into permanent employees but also welcome applicants who are only looking for a summer job.

As a member of the Sabbatical team you will become an expert on our grain to glass products and process in order to welcome, serve and educate customers. We offer flexible scheduling and potential transition to full-time employment. There are a range of opportunities for growth if you can self-manage, positively represent our brand to the public, have an eagerness to learn and make this role your own.

Routine Responsibilities Include:

  • Greeting and assisting customers

  • Pouring & guiding patrons through sample tastings of Sabbatical’s craft spirits portfolio

  • Managing retail transactions, stocking inventory, fulfilling online orders

  • Group events and tours support

  • Shop setup & closing duties, maintaining cleanliness & organization of retail area and facility

  • Responding to customer outreach via phone and online, managing public-facing brand platforms (social media, digital) and promotions

  • Opportunity to participate in other distillery operations including bottling days, brand activations at partner retail locations and more

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age

  • Availability to work weekends (10am-6pm) and select weekdays on-site at the distillery

  • Some prior experience in retail and/or server jobs

  • Outstanding customer service skills with a commitment to high standards

  • Can effectively and respectfully communicate with diverse client groups and fellow staff members

  • Ability to move/stock retail inventory, set up items and remain standing while working in a production warehouse setting both indoors and outdoors

  • Ability to become knowledgeable on our products, process and story

  • Experience/interest in craft spirits and cocktail culture a plus

  • Looking for self-starters willing to share new ideas to improve the customer experience and increase sales

This position is focused on the busy summer months during the Victoria Island Farms Blueberry U-Pick season hosted alongside our distillery shop operations.

Job Type: Part-time, Temporary (May - July, 2026)

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
