Our take here at Sabbatical is the classic Manhattan is pretty solid, but could be much better. Swap out the standard issue vermouth for a slightly sweet, slightly herbacious amaro and boom — this is delicious whiskey cocktail we turn to again and again. Of course, its’ best made with Sabbatical Whiskey and for this particular style we recommend testing it out with one of our French Oak barrel finished whiskeys such as our Madeira Cask Finished Straight Bourbon, or bump up the proof with our single barrel Double Oak Bourbon.
